Dallas' Birthday Cake 2010

Ok, this cake was also a fun cake to put together. Dallas races a mini-cup(half scale of a Nascar) and he told me that is what he wanted his cake to look like. So i got a few pictures and went off of that! For the window it's grey frosting in a plastic bag, and I taped a picture of him in his car on it. The wheels are cookies.

Because this was his first year racing he had a "Rookie" strip on the back of his car.  So with frosting put that on.

Dallas' Birthday Cake 2009

According to Dallas it's all the 48's fault that the crash happened so that car is on fire.

Dallas' Birthday Cake 2008

My yougest brother Dallas has his birthday right before Halloween. So that was incorporated in this cake. And our family is Nascar freaks so that's always part of his cakes. I made an "8" track with some candy cars going around the cake. In the middle is a pumpkin(Batch of 24 cupcakes and only used 2 on the cake) which I guess one of the cars ran into. in the back is a "Nascar" candle on a cupcake.

My Birthday Cake Hamburgers! 2010

Alright for my 13th Birthday Party I made individual hamburgers. I bought some 4" pans and make yellow cake in them. Alfer those cooled I cut them in half. And for the meat I made a thin layer of chocolate and let that cook. I also made some fondant cheese and pickles, and some sprinkles made onions. Oh and in ketchup and mustard squeeze bottles were frosting! This was probably the best all year.

And here's a side view.

My Birthday Cake 2008

Very fun cake to put together. Before my Party this was just a plain yellow cake with chocolate frosting. And then my friend Carli and I went crazy with frosting, candy, and sprinkles. It turned out to be a really fun cake.

My Birthday Cake 2007

Now this one I remember! Probably because it was my own birthday cake. It's 3 layers tall. And each layer has a different color.

See! I told you it has 3 layers all a different color. This cake was so big I think we sent home 1/4 of it home with my friend.

Trevor's Birthday Cakes 2010

This one was for Trevor's real birthday. It was pretty fun figuring out which candy to place in the right spot.

And this one was for his Birthday Party. It was a really easy cake to make.

Here's how I kept the top up.

Trevor's Birthday Party Cake 2007

This one was for my little brother's birthday in 2007. He told me he wanted a Pikachu cake for his party. So this is what I made.

Easter Cake

If I didn't have any pictures of this cake I wouldn't remember it at all. This was made in either 2007 or 2008. So I would have been around 10 years old. But I do know that I cut the cake to make it like an egg and frosted it. On the corners I think are cookies.

Two Birthday Cakes

This birthday cake was a last minute thing. And so I kind of ran off the edge writing Thorsten's name. Everybody still enjoyed the cake!

And this was also last minute. I made this for my friend, Carli. They made a cake that was confetti and made out of a big cupcake pan and mine was made with confetti and with the big cupcake pan. Just frosted differently.

Thanksgiving Cake!

I made a Tukey for Thanksgiving! I used a big cupcake pan and one 4" pan for the head. It was interesting putting together because I made it all from my head. I didn't look at any pictures.  But I think it turned out pretty well! The features on the face are just marshmallows and fruit slices.
And for the feathers, those are sugar cookies. Pretty much just cut those to look like feathers and added some popsicle sticks to insert them into the cake. After they were done cooking I brushed on some yellow and red water based food coloring(meant to do that before I cooked them but I forgot.)

Graduation Cakes 2010

This Cake was for my Cousin D's graduation over the summer. Here is one cake that I made.
And here is the other one! It's two 8" circles with a 9"x9" square on top. And then all the little cereal treat diplomas around it.
The little cereal treat diplomas with fondant bows.
On top with the tassel was some little charms-"2010"
And it was so hot outside that inside the cake melted! I found it really funny.

Not so much Cakes

This isn't cake and frosting, it's ice cream! I made this for the 4th of July in 2008. It's all vanilla ice cream, just some tinted red and blue.
And this one is one of those big cookie circles. Just with some frosting, clocolate bases and baseball people on it. This was for Trevor's(My little brother) 8th birthday in 2007.  I really don't remember this one at all but I know I made it.

Lego Cakes

I made this cake for my little brother's robotics group after competition. This took hours of work even with my mom helping me. There are three different types of cake here, Yellow, White and Chocolate. Each flavor has one two, six and eight connector pieces, along with two four connector pieces.  For the little circles on top are marshmallows cut in half and frosted. All the kids loved them!

Christmas Cake 2010

This is a Christmas Tree that I made for Christmas Day. I made mini cupcakes for Christmas Eve but I can't find any pictures. It's a yellow cake made in a big cupcake pan with the bottom flipped upside down.  I did the frosting with a large star tip and put some little candies in random places.

Who I am...

Well my name is Vickie, I'm 13 years old and I enjoy making cakes.  I'm pretty creative and incorporate that into my cakes. I've made cakes for my Family and Friends for years now. I've made some for Birthdays, Holidays, parties and just for fun at almost midnight. All of my cakes have pictures so I'll post those for everyone to see! :)
